All Berry Jam!

You know how they say: “For optimum health and cleansing your body always start your morning with fruits.”?

In fact, what we are doing is breaking our fast with fruit which is very light and gentle to our stomach after 8 hours of not eating.

This Raw Jam is one of the greatest breakfast or mid-day snack one can find! It’s fresh, organic, raw, nutritious, no added sugar and SO healthy. And you know that berries are the best for burning excess body fats!

I’ve been hocked up with Organic almond/hazelnut butter which is again all raw, for past 7-8 years and now it seems that I can’t start my day without it! (We are still working to have this product added to our Organic products for you.). Try these two together and you will see what I mean! 🙂 Soooooo Goooood!

The preparation time for this Jam is 10-mins.

What do you need:

– 1 cup fresh berries
– 1 tablespoon chia seeds
– 1 tablespoon raw honey – you can use two tablespoons of honey if you want it more sweet.
– 1 tablespoon water

Instructions:

For each cup of berries, add 1 tablespoon chia seed and 1 tablespoon raw honey. Leave the chia seeds in water for a 2-3 minutes for it to absorb the water.

Remember berries tend to be very high in pesticide residue so it’s always the best to buy organic. You might want to check out the dirty dozens again for this.

I go by mashing the berries using a fork rather than using blender. If you are using a blender, just be careful not to blend them so much as you will end up with lots of juices and it will be more like a Jelly than a jam! 🙂

Place the jam in fridge for at least 1 hour to set up. You can keep this jam in the fridge for one week. As making this jam is so easy, I always make it in a smaller amount and make a fresh one every 3-4 days.
